Everything that we believe about "The Holy Spirit"

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, is the comforter that Jesus Christ sent to us when ascending to Heaven, after His death and resurrection. The Holy Spirit’s presence in our lives assures us of our relationship with Jesus Christ. He guides believers into all truth and convicts us of our sin. He comforts us, gifts us with spiritual gifts, and continually develops us to be more like Jesus Christ.

Sanctification is the ongoing process of yielding to God’s Word and the Holy Spirit in order to complete the development of Christ’s character in us. It is through the working power of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God that enables us to live a godly life.

Initiated at Pentecost, this ongoing baptism (or infilling) is the promise of the Father, given by Jesus Christ after His ascension, to empower believers with boldness to communicate God’s Word throughout the whole earth.

The Holy Spirit is manifested through a variety of spiritual gifts to build and grow the church. These gifts always operate in harmony with God’s Word and should never be used in violation of Biblical parameters.
